If you need to make a change to how your child gets home, call or email the office by 12:00pm. You can email Gabriela Cervatnes at gcervantes@lagovistaisd.net.

Also, please remember that student pick-ups in the office must be made before 2:45 PM. After that time, buses begin pulling in and we are unable to call students from their classrooms. Once dismissal starts, students are moving to different areas of the building, making it difficult to locate them. If you arrive after 2:45, you will need to go through the car rider line for the regular 3:15 dismissal. Thank you for helping us keep our dismissal process safe and smooth!

All students should be at their scheduled stops at least 10 minutes prior to pickup times. Also, please allow a little extra time the first few weeks of school. Please keep in mind that bus routes are continuously under review and modification. Therefore, the stop locations and times may vary.

Intermediate Publications

Arrival and Drop-Off Car Riders - Arrival and Dismissal - Our arrival and dismissal procedures have not changed from last year. If you are driving your child to school in the morning, the drop off location is at Viking Hall. To access Viking Hall from 1431, you will turn on Bar K Ranch Road. Turn left in front of the lower baseball field. Please only release students in front of Viking Hall. Do not let your child out in the circle. We will not have staff on duty until 7:15. Please do not drop your child off before 7:15. Buses will drop students off in the front of the building.

School starts at 7:40am and ends at 3:15pm
After 7:40am, please take your child to the front of the building to sign in. We will not have anyone supervising in the back of the building after 7:40am.

Dismissal Tips to remember in the car rider line:

• Have your orange car rider tag visible in the car rider line until your child gets in the car.
• Please do not talk on your cell phone in line. This is considered a school zone and is against the law if not hands free.
